My Story

After stumbling my way through a career change, I’m passionate about passing on what I’ve learned.

From an early age I knew I wanted to become a scientist. I followed a very traditional path - college, grad school, corporate job.

In my first “real” job, I learned there was a lot I didn’t know about succeeding in a corporate environment. I struggled with some of the “soft skills” but I was fortunate to have supportive mentors who helped me learn what I didn’t know.

After six years as a laboratory chemist, I was ready for a career change, but I had limited exposure to what I could do next. I used the tools I had available - like my ability to connect with others - and I pivoted to a new career in Retail.

In my second career, I continued to build my career knowledge toolkit, as I handled new challenges. Along the way, I became a resource to others in similar situations.

What started out as just sharing knowledge in informal settings, turned out to be one of my greatest passions. I feel strongly that everyone should have a career they love, and I’d be honored to help you get there.
